I debated among myself for awhile whether this page should be in English or Danish. Danish is my native language, but for quite some time now I've been talking, writing and reading English on a daily basis and much more frequently than Danish.
I sometimes find, that English provides a more fluent language for me, which may seem strange since it's my "second language". I prefer to see it as my "first language" and Danish my native.
Anyhow, to make what could be a long analogue short, I chose to keep half of this blog in English and half in Danish. This also provides a good description of my current state of mind.
If you are joining me as a non-danish speaker, I've added a translate button in the upper left corner. Please enjoy google's poorly translated language.
So, I used to be a small shy kid in a blue scout uniform searching for adventures.
As it turned out, going on adventures and explore the world has become my deepest pleasure, greatest passion and constant urge. To site one of my favorite movies:
"Adventure is out there !!" (From Pixar's Up if you haven't already guessed).
I haven't even scratched the surface of places and things to explore, but I keep trying to dig deeper and deeper to the core. I love the sensation of wonder and I love to find it in everything, everywhere; Like the first sight of your favorite nudibranch on a dive, or the stunning beauty of a green hillside covered in flowers, the harvest of fresh vegetables from your own garden, the breathtaking mountains in the Seirra's, the warm sun on your skin after a long winter, the starlit sky in the deep wilderness, or the simple shower after a week of hiking.

My two favorites hobbies: Scuba Diving and Hiking.
Which one I prefer the most, I don't know.
Both of them give me peace, reflection and the ever-enjoyable and beautiful nature.
I am a full-time ocean scientist, biologist and geek and an eternity-student in the marvels of Mother Nature.
I cherish the wilderness, the wildlife, the open horizon and the freedom.
I strive for new experiences and to keep an open heart and an open mind.
I hope to never be without the sense of wonders.
So please join me.
May your boots always fit and your pack be forever light!
